DESCRIPTION
This module is an introduction to the skill of offering the right advice and choosing the right BAL fixing products when applying wall or floor tiles to a number of different backgrounds in different room locations.
AIMS
The aim of the module is to understand the impact of using the correct and incorrect tiling adhesive products and techniques to complete a tiling job and to be aware of the BAL products which fulfill the task.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of this module are:
- to have a basic understanding of the uniqueness of, and differences between BAL products;
- to achieve an introductory level of understanding of the tile adhesive process including the tiling checklist, types of tiling adhesives and their correct applications.
